With this special Copper activator (palladium activator) you can apply our Redox-Nickel to copper or copper alloys. For this purpose, the activator deposits a thin layer of catalytically active palladium on the copper material and thus serves as preparation for currentless nickel plating, as otherwise the deposition of the Redox-Nickel would fail.
Suitable materials for the copper activator are:
Application:
- clean the workpiece to be coated thoroughly and degrease it (Caution: Do not touch the workpiece with your hands after degreasing!)
- immerse the workpiece in the Copper activator for 5 to 30 minutes at room temperature
- rinse the workpiece briefly but thoroughly with water
- the workpiece is now ready for further coating with Dr. Galva's "Redox-Nickel"
Important: Do not mix the Copper activator with the Redox-Nickel, as this can lead to decomposition!
